how I recompositioned my body from being “bloated” 24/7 at 210lbs to feeling “tight” & “toned” at 145lbs: - Prayed before/after every lift: yes, many things affect strength but God is truly where strength comes from especially when I wasn’t motivated - Forced myself to eat without distractions (phone, Netflix, studying, etc.): This helped me become more aware of my hunger & fullness cues and allowed me to stop mindlessly eating - Dedicated multiple hours each week to stretching and foam rolling: This improves my mobility + helps with flexibility + recovery + lift better without injury - Started eating smaller but more frequent meals throughout the day: This helps me fuel my body all day & teaches my body to easily digest meals - Stopped going to the gym just to check a box off my to-do list: I started training with intention but also enjoyment & lifting just to get through it won’t create long term habits - Stopped ending a set the second it started to burn: I learned that the “burning” means the muscle is working but it doesn’t mean that the muscle is at failure. (Truly how my muscles truly grew!!) - Asked questions when I didn’t know how to do something: This was scary at first but more than likely people in the gym want to help out in any way they can - Ate around my workouts and made sure I was properly fueled: I make sure I have enough carbs + protein before training which improved my energy & performance - Focused on building a true mind muscle connection: Instead of just moving the weight, I learned (and still am) how to actually the target muscle i’m intending to @ehplabs @Gymshark @YOUNGLA @lululemon #gymtips #gymmotivation #transformation #fyp
