APP certified jewelry is the only jewelry for healing piercings, it guarantees no metal striations on the post (basically a cactus of metal digging into your piercing hole) no other brand can guarantee polished posts or engineered jewelry. Look for some simple low cost ones on Starfire body jewelry

The hidden helix is bad too. As a long curly haired girl- you can only wear your hair up during healing. Only up.

I was thinking, I don’t remember snagging mine much. But then I remembered that I DID and I got sick of it and started wearing my hair side swept and pinned behind my ear on that side for MONTHS 😂 it definitely helped!

I have a hidden helix and my hair gets stuck on it so much too. I don’t have a bump and I just downsized it today so hopefully that will help with my hair getting caught on it so much.

girl same... got my vertical in November and didn't think about the over ear headset I wear for work until I had a gnarly bump. finally got a different headset in January that doesn't touch it and the bump is going down but she's not a fun one to heal at all.

I feel like the vertical would hurt more than a hidden helix there. Like going up through the cartilage, rather than back. I think they look awesome but I’m scared

So you have an anti tragus? I got one about 2 years ago with the intention of getting a small ring and I have not been able to change it yet. It is an angry one!! It will be ok then I’ll do something minor and she gets pissed 🥲 Never had a bump but it’s just intermittent swelling.
