It’s very helpful with my ADHD and my inability to focus. My mind can tend to wander when I’m trying to read. Having the audio going helps me lock in. It became a game changer for me.

I do this with like long form articles sometimes, you know how there’s sometimes a “listen here” option, I’ll play that and read through the article at the same time. Maybe I should try it with a book

I love immersive reading because it stops me from getting distracted. I can read for much longer periods. But I’m retaining the book much more than if I just listened to the audiobook.

It’s the absolute best. I discovered I loved the be read to in elementary. I distinctly remember the class going to the library and the librarian reading us a story while we sat criss-cross applesauce, lol. It was my absolute favorite. I get that same feeling with my audio going while I read.
