Calling creativity the ‘highest form of intelligence’ is misleading. Plenty of people are creative without being exceptional—creativity alone doesn’t prove value or genius. It’s the foundation behind creativity—metacognition, reflection, and even traits like hyperphantasia or pareidolia—that really matter. Creativity is the spark, but it’s the mind behind it that lights a fire worth noticing.

Great video! But didn't Guilford (1950) point out, based on Teman & Oden, that intelligence is about the understanding of concepts and its interrelations, whereas creativity is about combining knowledge-structure to form new concepts? 🤔

I don’t think creativity needs high processing power and speed and all of the above mentioned elements. It just needs programming. Preestablished patterns embedded deep into your brain cognitive structures.

I’m not sure what the right terms are but what I think you’re getting out is an exceptional creativity and an exceptional intuition. Intuition not just a feeling about something being right but at navigating without thinking realization and insight. Overall, I think there’s weakness in the words that are commonly used. And maybe that’s because so a few people experience those mental modeling where with all that you’re explaining.

Meta cognition is a sign of high intelligence, an extra capacity to examine thought as it occurs. I agree that is not the highest intelligence itself. It seems self serving that psychologists would put it on a pedestal

A highest form, does it actually exist? There are many different intelligents. They are all special but mostly unique. Only when it can be bound togheter it will be the highest.
