I once carried out a thermic weld with a cast that was coming to the end of its time.. I was up a ladder at the time (back when you could use ladders) the molten metal poured out the bottom of the cast and dropped straight in to my rigger boot.. a pain I never want to repeat and a scar that 35 years later is still there as a reminder 😂
