ex letting agent here, of course they can intervene, get them told that they have a duty to ensure that their tenants are not behaving in an anti social, threatening manner, also advise them that if they refuse to act you will contact the property owner direct to inform them of their tenants behaviour and the letting agents refusal to act.

That’s wrong the agent can inform him as is breaking his agreement. If it continues they can serve him with a section 8 Anti social order. Include the police some times the police calms the situation.

Your local council will have a phone number for reporting anti social behaviour. Keep a log of any incidents and keep notes with date and times.

Also buy cameras that record audios. Nothing will be done if you don’t have evidence. Save all clips of incidents

the letting can do something it will be in their contract about anti-social behaviour ect. ring the council noise complaints also they will be able to help

Is he old? My Uncle in his early 60s started shouting at everyone and banging doors. Turned out, it was the start of dementia. Not that you can do much about that!

I commented on your previous post about turning it back on him. The response from the lettings agency has triggered the pettiness in me. The lettings agency are responsible for the tennant breaching the agreement. The landlord pays them to do this. 1st thing to do is email the lettings agency, this way you have a "paper trail". 2nd you can find out the details of the landlord through land registry for a fee. 3rd If you get a bad response from lettings agency reply stating you will be contacting the landlord and state their name. If the response is good say thanks, it's easier if you dont have to deal direct with (enter landlords name). 4th report to police as welfare. 5th report to council for noise/antisocial, you will need to keep a diary with dates/times. Explain what time your children go out and how long until he shouts at them. Also record his indoor shouting at his family to show its not just directed at your children. 6th large drink or cuppa of choice and take a deep breath.🥰

Ask the letting agent for the landlords email and get hold of them that way. Also contact the local council and inform them that the letting agent isn’t being helpful

Do you know the landlord? As a landlord I can definitely intervene with my tenants if there are complaints from neighbours or a DV situation happening.
