He was one of my teachers at Intermediate coached me for the school 'new image' rugby team and years kicked me out of his pub as he recognized me and knew I was underage. The man is a legend in the making.

Wallabies record is a bit deceptive, they were definitely trending in the right direction before Eddie Jones took over for the World Cup ( and we know what happened after that)

Had me at “pub owner”! I’m with you Dave. Now pick a squad based on skills and SR performance. Worry about the Captain when the team structure is set. 👍

He had it tough at the wallabies. They had a lot of injuries during his time there. He basically was left with 2nd/3rd string players. I thought he did well considering.

pretty weak but who cares ABs gonna suck for a while. saying he opened with māori is wrong. kia orana is cook island so to claim he is entirely pasifika is another misinformed guideline

Got to specify cook island maori. Which is significant given the lack of big name cook island rugby players/coaches on the big stage.

Just remember under him the aussies came the closest to winning the Bledsoe cup since they lost it last. First game tied 16-16 and should have won(would have been the first time ahead in about 20 years aswell) and ended the series with 1 win 1 draw and 2 loses, with one of the worst Australian teams ever
