@dadhugsforyoursou: No contact hits differently when you’re anxiously attached. Most advice about no contact is written for people whose nervous systems aren’t wired like yours. So when someone says “just block them and move on”, it makes you feel weak for struggling. But if you’re anxiously attached, distance doesn’t just feel sad. It feels destabilising. Your brain starts looking for relief. One message. One explanation. One moment of reassurance. Not because you’re trying to win them back. Because you’re trying to make the anxiety stop. Understanding that changes everything. Because the real work isn’t forcing yourself not to reach out. It’s learning how to steady yourself when the urge hits. Which part of no contact do you struggle with the most? Big Hug x #anxiousattachment #nocontact
Ironically the best piece of advice I’ve gotten is to take every piece of advice with a grain of salt cause at the end of the day, YOU are the one who has to live through its consequences. Make decisions that YOU feel are right and even if they end up not being so, you’ll feel way better knowing you tried your best

I used to think blocking was the best thing for me. But, all it did was make me think about them. Then id unblock to look. My nervous system deregulated from the block. Now ive learned that its better for me to conscientiously let them be and choose not to reach out. yes its hard for me to see people move on,but seeing them move on and facing it actually heals me. When I block I shut it out and the pain just stays stagnant and builds up and im stuck where I blocked them. Working on just being indifferent when things end I dont stop loving them just learn the time is over and want the best for them even if its not me. ill love them and move forward at the same time. The door ia always open to come in or stay out of my life Ill never force what's ment for me and choose acording no hate just indifference.

I have an anxious attachment style and I was discarded by an avoidant. they blocked me in some places but not others and I actually blocked them everywhere else I'm the end because breaking no contact, even by just looking at profiles etc, only hurt me more in the end. blocking and moving on was literally the best thing I did, but also one of the hardest because it went against everything my brain was screaming at me.

I was texting someone for a month, and the last message I sent was on April 4th. I told him to enjoy his evening with his daughter and said good night. He only reacted with a ❤️, and that was it.
I was hoping he would at least text me on Easter Sunday, even just to say good morning, but he didn’t. After that, I decided I wouldn’t text him first anymore.
It hurts, but if someone ignores me, I think it’s best to keep my distance.but i didn’t block or anything,he every day likes my stories, what is that mean? Easy to like my stories but offers to text!

You’re absolutely right . 73 days no contact for me from trauma bond. It’s not easy but slowly I’m healing and the most important thing I don’t have contact, i blocked him everywhere

When people tell me to block him I start spiraling…. I’m a complete disaster. I really need to stabilize my nervous system.

Sooo so true!! I could only do no contact when I was ready and it took me weeks of accepting and fighting for him back (even though I knew deep down it wasn’t what I wanted). I blocked him on Monday and can genuinely say I feel free; but I had to be ready.

instead of texting them... text yourself or a friend what you want to send him/her! Do not risk a TPO from ppl who go no contact. Block them in exchange. it is hard, it really is but necessary.

If I’m gonna be completely honest I’ve thought about her almost every day since the break up, even when I feel like I’ve healed from the breakup there’s just this part of me that’s still there. I wrote a song about my perspective of the breakup to try and help me through this feeling, I hope it can help you find the closure your exes could never give you 💌 (we’ve been in no contact for about 10 months - some small gaps in between because we’re in the friend group, but she’s in another country this year so not much contact)
