Proud of you! 👏 I was once a teacher in the Philippines. When I came to Singapore, I started working in Kopitiam as a Food & Beverage as Retail Executive. Sosyal pakinggan ang title, but in reality you do everything, taking orders, sometimes washing dishes, cleaning tables and floors, all of it. After two years in F&B, I got a job in laser manufacturing. I’m still in Singapore today, and it has now been 9 years in the manufacturing industry. Total 11yrs. I agree that pride won’t put food on the table. Because of my job, I was able to send my six siblings to college and help provide for my parents. For that, I will always be grateful. 🙏

My helper was a high school teacher in Myanmar. Bach of mathematics. I ask her to tutor my son and gave her market rate. Just hope her brain is not wasted

Domestic helpers are not nobodies. Without you, the family you work with will not be able to cope. Sure, it’s not as glamorous as being a ground crew in an airline, but you are still very much appreciated.

Daming negative comments 🙁 If she’s able to put food on their table with her work wala naman din mali buhay naman niya yan, plus Singapore increased the salary again for Filipinos just recently na hindi kaya makuha agad sa Pinas. Later on, if magta-try naman siya maghanap ibang job sa SG edi better (pahirapan lang din and tyaga dahil sa quota)

nothing wrong being a helper ur giving alot more to your family back in Philippines. my current helper from Indonesia is also educated,she took the initiative to teach my daughter English n malay spelling ❤️really appreciate her and soon she will be going home,I pray all the helper will prosper in any ways.mahal kita❤️u do good,good will give u back tenthfold.

Singapore? Maraming ibang work jan, sa sales, kahit crew sa restaurants na s-pass ang sahod. Ang liit lang ng sahod ng DH, except siguro kung sobrang yaman ng amo mo na mataas ang sahod kaya mo tinanggap yan.

mganda lng tlaga pakinggan ung "ground crew" but the reality most of them tlagang nsa minimum ang sahod dami p kaltas, unlike DH malinis sweldo karamihan dahil libre lahat...as long as lumalaban ng patas papanig din sau ang panahon ❤️
