Absolutely not. Tax return submitted well in advance of deadline. They just didn’t look at the facts and issued a tax demand. Had to get in touch again to tell them they had overlooked an important issue and then the new ‘demand’ actually showed they owed me money. Just to incompetent to deal with the account accurately in the first place, thus doubling the workload.

could it be the influx of 'tax influencers' has lead to more people trying to complain? could it be that more people adding a side hustle and not actually thinking about the tax consequences might also be causing this?
