For me it started with Baby Driver (2017) where the entire movie was about how talented this driver is and the final chase is… on foot. Not in a car. So stupid.

Yeah! In the Netflix movie "The Killer," his first job failed. He spent 5 minutes explaining the process, detailing how meticulous he could be, only to fail at shooting a guy across the street. Why do they do that? 😂 Show me the guy succeeding multiple times, establish a pace, and then boom, he fails. It's alarming how bad they are nowadays.

Because the writing brainstorm goes as follows: “we need this inciting incident to happen and cause problems, let’s shoehorn it in here” “we need an action scene where the character barely survives, let’s make them make these nail biting mistakes” “we need a cool reveal, let’s make the characters ignorant enough to not notice the clues”
