The best straws are made from sugar cane husk. A waste product. Feels like plastic, doesn’t disintegrate, but will decompose. There are no other answers

I am all for being eco friendly. but I'm against paper straws. not only are they annoying. But I also think plastic straws are a scape goat for company's. Plastic straws aren't why sea turtles are threatened. they army helping but they aren't THE problem. Corporate pollution and habitat destruction is.

My main take away from this was that Mentos isn't a chemical reaction and it's just that, despite feeling smooth, they aren't. I'm in shock.

We at home still use plastic straws we just reuse them. The more I learned about straws the more I realise that it would never really worth banning them. They made up such a small percentage of the overall plastic pollution, and the solution paper straws actually worse for the environment when you’ve taken into account the whole supply chain

I worked at a 1950’s style soda fountain in high school and we had period-accurate paper straws and they worked just fine. They were wax coated (Just regular wax, not plastic).
