The best straws are made from sugar cane husk. A waste product. Feels like plastic, doesn’t disintegrate, but will decompose. There are no other answers

I am all for being eco friendly. but I'm against paper straws. not only are they annoying. But I also think plastic straws are a scape goat for company's. Plastic straws aren't why sea turtles are threatened. they army helping but they aren't THE problem. Corporate pollution and habitat destruction is.

I worked at a 1950’s style soda fountain in high school and we had period-accurate paper straws and they worked just fine. They were wax coated (Just regular wax, not plastic).

plastic straws aren't even the problem. it's the fishing nets. I can't remember the percentages but I think it was well over 80% is from commercial fishing and under 2% for straws. I'm basically making the numbers up but it was drastic difference
