my father said, I can either pay rent or put 20% in my 401k 25yrs ago. He knew the power of compound interest and now I do. Thanks Dad ❤️

I’m putting in 11% myself, my company matches 4%, then also puts 5% in per quarter. The plan in a couple of years is to raise mine to around 20-25%

Our 401k accounts are artificially propping up the entire stock market so they can come by and skim 10-20% off and it won’t crash

I have the precise answer to this and I have a tracking spreadsheet that goes back decades!!!! The first $100k took 15 years. It was painful! 5 more years to $200k. 4 more years to $500k. 5 more years to $1m. 2 more years $1.5m. I was close to penniless when I started.

One started in 2007, stopped in 2022 $540k. That’s 19 years. New job $110k in 4 years. It’s a hockey stick but you gotta start small and early.
