I just want to say while we are acknowledging it this isn’t just Jamaican American ppl this is almost every race of “black” ppl that come to America that are raised with these stereotypes and when black Americans call it out we’re crazy, and then when the government is doing something messed up to their ppl all of a sudden it’s unity peace and love of every colored person under the sun and again we’re made to seem like we’ve chosen to be the lone wolf. Just please remember these moments JS.

But we were taught the same thing about Jamaicans. That all they did all day was smoke weed under the banana tree. And this stereotype didn’t come from our parents or the black community.

My parents never wanted me to be with the man that fathered my kids because they were teaching me NOT to marry into a black american family. And now I see why they taught me that. I hate black american culture and a lot of the people. Not everybody is bad but a lot of them are bad. Horrible people. They don't stick together, they don't help each other. And everything they talk about HAS TO BE centered around slavery. They don't like this or that shade of melanin in their own community, blah blah blah. They don't like this one because they practice this or they're brainwashed by religion...etc. and the list goes on and on. Ya'll too separate in this country and I always hated it. And the food isn't that good. Food in Jamaica is fresher and taste better
