Enojo no creo que sea la reacción. Si acaso, quizá algo de sorpresa… o incluso incredulidad al ver a alguien de otro género lucir tan bien.

A 2017 British skit using satire to expose the unjust ways authorities treat rape victims is going viral online after a court in the UK allowed three teenage boys who gang raped two teenage girls to walk free. British comedian Tracey Ullman originally created “Mugged” in 2017 in response to a major controversy involving a judge who at that time said women’s “disinhibited behavior” or being intoxicated was the reason they were raped by men. The skit shows a detective interrogating a man who was robbed by using the same lines of questioning that are frequently used by authorities on victims of sexual violence. These include asking the man what he was wearing at the time he was robbed and saying that he looked “quite provocatively wealthy” which is “a bit of an invitation”. The detective then brings in a counselor, who asks the man if he had been drinking because it can “send out confusing signals.” The detective and counselor also blamed the man for not screaming because he was not “making his intentions clear” that he didn’t like to be robbed. The video went viral on social media after it was posted by the Instagram account @cheerupluv on April 14, gaining more than 5.1 million views since it was posted. The three boys in the case, two aged 14 and one aged 13 at the time, had gang raped two girls aged 15 and 14 in two separate incidents in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, in November 2024 and January 2025. The attackers filmed the assaults and shared the footage with abusive messages about the victims on social media. They were found guilty of a total of 10 counts of rape between the three of them. However, the judge, Nicholas Rowland, sentenced the boys to youth rehabilitation with not one day in prison on May 21, causing public outrage. Rowland said he wanted to avoid “criminalizing” the boys “unnecessarily” and support their reintegration into society. After public outrage and criticism grew over the lenient sentences, the UK Attorney General referred the case to the Court of Appeal for review on May 28. People are now sharing the parody online to highlight the lack of change in the decade since it was made. - #fyp #EduTok #LearnOnTikTok #tiktoknews
