Start getting her a paid seat and bring the car seat. You’ll need it anyway when traveling. And she knows about sitting in a car seat when in a vehicle. No more getting up and moving around the entire flight. Maybe every couple of hours to stretch and then back in the seat. Buckle in as usual. Bring new and interesting toys and they don’t have to be expensive. We do this and I SWEAR by it. I realize it’s not in everyone’s budget but if it is, do it! TOTAL GAME CHANGER.

Right. At this age, if you use screens, you need short, 3-5 mins episodes. Not a film. When mine were at that age we used, Peppa Pig, Pink Panther, Mr Bean, Pingu, Dora, Little Einsteins, Baby Mozart. Songs/Nursery rhymes. I’m sure there are many more nowadays. I would also buy 5-6 new books for every trip and small new presents. Things like Polly Pockets, Sylvanian families, little animals etc. Also, they would have their own seat.

I have a 17 month old daughter as well! She has absolutely no interest in any kind of screen unless I’m FaceTiming her dad! Lol I have found that letting her have free range in my makeup bag works so well! That’s my secret weapon when she’s extra wiggly!

Consider magnet boards. Puzzles that are designed for travel so the pieces don’t fall everywhere.

My son loves magnatiles and they have travel sizes. Then if she does like put the stickers covering a tile so you can cut them and make a puzzle. 🧩

Ms Rachel all the way. You can research but she’s amazing and wholesome, basically the Mr Rodgers of this generation. She also captures toddler attention like no other, they just lock in haha. Her videos are also supposed to be okay for screen time because of how she interacts with the screen, it’s more like a FaceTime than watching a show.

Car seat that is faa approved ! You get to pre board so you’ll have time to get it buckled in they get the window seat, it’s a comfort thing for them we also love color books and snacks.
