To those defending the customer: The issue isn't returning the plate because it tasted off. Notice the customer returned the plate 4 times, citing a different issue each time. Then when they spoke to the manager, they accused the server of bringing back the same plate each time. Ask yourself how it would have different problems if it was the same plate? The customer is intentionally trying to get a free meal.

Assuming they weren’t trying to run a scam, if the guest was a woman, I would’ve been subtly trying to figure out if she was pregnant because that’s the biggest way something you order regularly would taste off. The first time I was pregnant, I lived off of boxed mashed potatoes because everything I usually ate tasted so bad 😅

I was taking an antibiotic and it changed the way everything tasted. went to a restaurant and the food tasted gross! my friend said it was fine. I didn't complain, but it took me a bit to realize it was the antibiotics

The sauces are house made at the restaurant I work at. They prep the sauces at 4/5 am every morning and batch what they think we’ll use that day and sometimes (rare but it happens) they make the sauce incorrectly and then the dish gets sent back all night from guests who always come for that dish. I’m not saying that’s what happened here but maybe 🤔
