Yes, Say-Ocean is the correct pronunciation. There are interviews from early days of the band where they say it correctly. They only changed it to the current way of saying it because the fans kept mispronouncing it. The name Saosin actually comes from the Chinese phrase “小心” (xiǎo xīn), which means “careful” or “beware.”

I just treat Anthony and Cove Saosin as two different bands. But I do feel Cove performing Translating the Name songs goes over much better than when Anthony Green sang “Voices” 😬 (no shade to Anthony, he’s one of my favorite musicians of all time)
