my brother was diagnosed with AS and i was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. he had all the testing, my doctor stopped at a xray for me. Isn't even exploring it furthur. feel defeated with pain

Hello, AS patient here. Thank you for making this video to bring awareness to AS. Also, important to mention that HLA-b27 gene can be negative and still have AS. I'm negative, but AS damage shows like a beacon on xrays.😩

I was diagnosed in 2019 after dealing with Uvitis & Raynaud’s. My eye was the most concerning factor for sure. But that led to my diagnosis which took months. No one one either side of my family has ever been diagnosed with it.

Late diagnosed at 50, female…was athletic so flairs were misdiagnosed as injuries…MRI showed lots of damage. Diagnosed with Sjogrens 3 years before.

I’m HLA B27 positive. My labs are always normal and being female didn’t help me get diagnosed. It took almost 20 years to get diagnosed. I had symptoms start when I was 32, I’m 64 now and live in pain everyday.

MRI never diagnosis me, only degenerated disc, but the symptoms are the same, I feel pain, difficult in walking, pain in pelvic joint both sides.
