ajk :
I can give some advice that Ive found works pretty good. Im going to try to make it general for oily, combination, and dry since Im not sure about your skin type or if you wear makeup, etc. For oily, Micellar water (if makeup+spf) and a gentle low ph foam/gel cleaner is what you should use. There is such thing as too gentle though, and that can actually make it worse. For combination/dry, if you wear makeup, oil/balm cleanser with a gentle but effective low ph foam/gel cleanser. I suggest milk cleanser on days you don’t wear makeup or just some spf. You wanna check ingredients for actives, as some products you use everyday have exfoliants and actives that are making it worse and stripping your skin. After cleansing, without any toners or moisturizer or serum or anything, your skin should feel soft, not tight or squeaky clean, but there shouldn’t be a film type of feeling on the skin. If you have dry skin, you could be over washing your face. You only need to wash it at night, and in the morning just add a dab of moisturizer in dry spots or wash with just your foam/gel and use your normal steps after that. BHA (salicylic acid) 2-3 times a week if your skin can tolerate it. It should help with blackheads. One last thing, Im sorry for how long this is, but don’t use star patches for pimple patches. Use Hero mighty patches. I kept getting reoccurring pimples in spots I used star face pimple patches.
