idk if it’s js bc I’m a younger sister but I prefer Lumine as the traveler and Aether as the abyss prince, I also feel like it fits their color palettes (usually dark colors=evil/antihero and light colors=good/hero) and plus we love female protagonists :p If I were in lumine’s situation w my brother I would absolutely do the same thing (my brother and I are only 20 months apart and we’re very close even if we argue often)
