@thesinnersmovie: The Juke Joint roof burn in SINNERS is a masterclass in mixing practical and digital effects. 50+ previs versions guided the actors’ movement and camera choreography to ensure the full oner worked in perfect harmony with Ludwig Goransson's score. The SFX team safely burned the roof on the real set while capturing it on multiple IMAX film camera, and the VFX team enhanced the scene by layering digital fire simulations, sparks, smoke, and drifting embers, creating depth and scale. Collaboration across Costume Design, Production Design, and Sound ensured that every detail, from textures to timing, felt authentic and immersive. Now nominated for a record-breaking 16 Academy Awards including Best Visual Effects.
