It’s basic science, the electric signals transfer back to the toy when they touch each other because humans are conductors. For example, if you connect a metal rod to one end to the other if a battery it’s a constant flow of energy, but if the rod doesn’t touch the other end the energy escapes and has no where else to go. (Sorry if I geeked out)

I had forgot about stuff like this! I should get one. When I was a kid I had a couple dolls that worked like this. They each sang a diffrent nursery rhyme. One was ring around the rosy and I can’t remember what the other sand. Maybe London bridge? It’s been 2 1/2 decades since I’ve had the so I don’t remember lol. My youngest would love this
