I once had a chicken get stuck in between a barrel of corn and its lid, upside down by one toe. And then she yelled at me the second I tried to help her, and fell on her face before running away screaming when I got her unstuck. She was completely fine.

I left an open bag of shavings in the coop once, one of my girls got inside and got herself stuck and i didnt notice the whole day! She even laid an egg in there! I felt so bad i gave her extra treats

We have an old dog crate up against the coop and a shed. One day I walked into the coop to collect eggs and it wasn't until I was walking out when the chicken tried moving, at first I thought it was a sleepy lizard but when I looked it was one of my chickens that had gotten themselves stuck. I got her out and when I picked the eggs back up she thought I had food. I think she went there to get away from one of the other chickens that has been picking on her since that chicken raised chicks.

Tbh this behaviour can be found in any animal, even human kids can get stuck in really weird situations sometimes. We are all just silly creatures in the animal kingdom. 😄

Reminds me of goats. How those creatures survive with the survival skills of a fart with the situations they get into (then immediately reoffend once freed), is beyond me. 😂
