not to be mean, but why is your generation so quick to give up.. count your blessings,a lot of people would love to be in your shoes, drive a car and have a job and get a paycheck☺️

It’s ridiculous how companies are pulling back remote opportunities when that’s like such a time saver for everyone

You can use that hour to listen to a podcast/audiobook, karaoke, just vibe to music, call your family members. Try to have a slightly more positive perspective on your life instead of absolutely rejecting a job you chose to accept for a small inconvenience such as an hour long commute. Some people wish to have a stable job and the hour commute would be an easy sacrifice to make! Have a good one

I use long commutes to speak to my family or listen to stuff that I enjoy. It has become “Me” time so I don’t get bent out of shape over it.

I remember struggling a lot after being unemployed for a few months getting back into the swing of things. Just remember 1. You have bills to pay. 2. Being unemployed and on the job market is literally terrible and not better than adjusting to a new normal.

I did the long commute for 30 years. And just totally burned me out. I feel for you. I finally got to retire. My stress level has gone way down. Keep at your job but keep an eye on a job closer to your home. Even if it pays less money , your mental health and physical health is more important.

I will never go back into a dungeon all day. I spent 20 years working 10-12 hours a day trapped in a building. I work remote now and I can’t go back.

Some of the comments offered some really nice suggestions such as listening to a podcast, audiobook or even music. Until you can find another job that better aligns with your ideas on the perfect commute, keep showing up!! Being unemployed in today's economy is not the answer.

I drove an hour one way for literally 20 years before working from home. And not in traffic, it was 47 miles one way. You do what you have to do.

You can’t ever convince me to go back to an office full time, and this is exactly why. My commute is driving my kid to daycare, coming back home, changing into a new pair of leggings and logging into my computer.
