The Prime Minister voted at the Dhapsi Lower Secondary School polling center in Phaimalchuli, Kathmandu. After casting her ballot, she expressed satisfaction and emphasized the importance of democratic participation. Across Nepal, citizens are voting to elect representatives for 165 first-past-the-post seats in the House of Representatives. At the same time, ballots are being cast for 110 proportional representation seats. The Election Commission has confirmed that all preparations were completed before voting began. Polling officials and materials had already reached designated centers, and the mandatory silence period started at midnight before election day. With polling stations active nationwide, today marks a crucial moment for Nepal’s democracy as voters decide the composition of the federal parliament.
