That’s a very bad install no proper brackets- there should be some type of security fencing aswel - terrible

Contact the manufacturers tech rep and have them meet you at the site so they can inspect it and make a determination on what went wrong. That will help a lot with moving forward on what they decide to do.

In a marine environment, I would consider an anti-corrosive coating for the coil from the start.

I’ve replaced Mitsubishi ones after a year on the coast. Always along the bottom of coil. Not even pipes you can weld. Thin flimsy aluminium flat stuff. That’s coated as well. Customer doing their nut but what can you do. Have old units 20 years old still going strong. New is not better that’s for sure

You must not work on units by the ocean. 10 years max i dont care what brand it is. That’s your life expectancy.
