I want to explain something your body is doing right now that nobody in any appointment ever explained to me. Your liver produces bile every single day. And bile is not just a digestive fluid. Bile is your body’s primary vehicle for eliminating everything it cannot get rid of any other way. Fat soluble toxins. Excess hormones. Environmental plastics. Synthetic chemicals. Heavy metals. Everything your body has accumulated that cannot leave through urine gets packaged into bile by your liver and sent toward your gut with one job. Leave permanently. Here is the part nobody tells you. Your body is designed to reabsorb bile acids. That is completely normal. That is how the system works. Your body cycles bile acids through your gut and back to your liver between 4 and 12 times every single day. That cycling is not the problem. The problem is what happens when there is not enough soluble fibre in your gut to bind to that bile before it gets reabsorbed. Without soluble fibre your body reabsorbs approximately 95 percent of the bile completing that cycle. Which means 95 percent of the fat soluble waste the hormones the plastics the environmental toxins your liver just packaged for elimination get pulled back in before they can leave. Back to the liver. Packaged again. Sent toward the exit again. Reabsorbed again. Over and over multiple times every single day. Your liver is working constantly to eliminate things that keep coming back. Soluble fibre changes everything about this process. Soluble fibre forms a viscous gel in your gut that binds to bile acids before they can be reabsorbed. When soluble fibre binds to bile the bile cannot be pulled back through the intestinal wall. It has to keep moving toward the exit. It leaves permanently. Taking with it the fat soluble waste the excess hormones the plastics the environmental toxins that were supposed to leave the first time. Your liver gets relief. The toxic load that was recycling multiple times a day starts actually clearing. The downstream inflammation that recycling load was driving starts quieting. Your skin stops being the emergency exit for a toxic load that was never supposed to still be there. This is why soluble fibre is not just a digestive aid. It is the mechanism by which your body actually eliminates the fat soluble toxic load your liver has been trying to clear. Without it your body reabsorbs 95 percent of what should be leaving. With it at the right dose in the right form at the right time that number drops significantly and your liver finally gets the relief it has been working toward every single day. Eczema. Acne. Hormonal issues. Chronic inflammation. All of them connected to a fat soluble toxic load recycling through your system multiple times daily because there was never enough soluble fibre in your gut to let it leave. Drop a hand emoji in the comments if nobody has ever explained to you what bile actually carries out of your body and what happens when it cannot leave. Weird.
