Sometimes people say that if you fall in love quickly it means you don’t pray enough or you’re not close to God. But the Bible doesn’t really teach that. God created love, and He can guide our hearts in ways we don’t always expect. In the story of Boaz and Ruth, Boaz noticed Ruth and was drawn to her character right away. Their story shows that God can bring two people together in His timing. Falling in love quickly does not automatically mean someone lacks faith. What matters is whether the relationship reflects God’s values kindness, patience, respect, and faith. The Bible reminds us in 1 John 4:7: “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.” When we walk with God, He doesn’t remove love from our hearts; He guides it so it becomes healthy and meaningful. Being close to God helps us choose wisely, love sincerely, and build relationships that honor Him.
