![[#AnneofGreenGables] I can finally watch this movie after such a long time! Honestly, I used to be so confused about where to even find it. 😭 I previously watched the Anne with an E series, and it was absolutely amazing! It is hands down my favorite series so far! This film adaptation is divided into three parts: Anne of Green Gables (1985, 1987, and 2000). In my opinion, the core story isn't that different from the Anne with an E series, though the series introduces more additional characters, which gives it a slightly different vibe. The series only covers up to the point where Anne and Gilbert finally confess their love for each other! just like the ending of the 1987 sequel. The time gap between the second and third movies is quite long, around 12 to 13 years, so we actually get to see the actors mature and grow into adulthood! Interestingly, the third installment incorporates the events of World War I, which adds a heavy and emotional tone 😭. But all in all, it’s still an incredible watch because it wraps up with a beautifully satisfying happy ending! Highly recommended!
