My second graders try so hard to write in cursive! I can’t read their print handwriting! 😂🙈

100 years ago they had the same debate about teaching arithmetic with Roman numerals in school. cursive only takes a week to learn to read it as an adult if you really need to; I'd rather that classroom time was spent on more valuable things 🤷♂️

Cursive was fancy and yeah everyone had their own flair with it! It’s honestly sad that such a beautiful artistic expression of words is being phased out.

I’m teaching my SPED students and they like it. They have continuous movement , the writing flows better!
