My cholesterol score is 9.8, but I still refuse to take statins. With a healthy diet and plant stanols, I've managed to lower it to 7.2. Hopefully, it will go down to a normal level. 🤞

I am 70 but fit and active. I felt awful last Sunday and took myself into A&E. My heart rate was 170 and unstable. I was immediately taken to rhesus and asked, If your heart stops beating do you want us to resuscitate you? I said No. My heart is flat due to Pectus excavatum and has a leaky valve. I also have osteoporosis (bones that become brittle) CPR would probably cause the ribs to break and go straight through my heart. The cardiologist agreed. Luckily it didn’t come to that and they have now got me on beta blockers and blood thinners.

GP are not doing their job. They should do full blood checks and discuss. But they will sign it off saying normal for this patient.

My bro had his first heart attack at 23! He was a life guard, weight lifting, etc. Unfortunately heart disease can happen at any age to anyone.
