![Today, I formally begin an open-ended endeavor that I have titled the Songs From Devotion Project. This project is a catalogue of simple choruses that have [and continue to] colored my times of personal devotion to the Lord. I have been told how admirable my ability to fluidly weave words into a baroque tapestry is. You just catch me on my good days, I promise lol. I only ‘people’ on my good days. A lot of the time, when it’s just me and the Lord, all I have are melodies belted out with words born out of urgency. “You are Good”—the first chorus in this catalogue—is one of these melodies of urgency.
