It was created by the Swedish developer Markus Persson, also known as Notch, and later developed by Mojang Studios. In this game, players explore a huge procedurally generated world made entirely of blocks. You can mine resources, craft tools, build houses, fight monsters, and create incredible structures limited only by your imagination. One of the most interesting features of Minecraft is the ability to travel to different dimensions. The main world is called the Overworld, but players can also enter the dangerous Nether through a Nether portal. The Nether is a dark and mysterious dimension filled with lava, strange biomes, and hostile mobs. Because Minecraft gives players so much creative freedom, people often build unique and unusual designs. Some players build giant castles, futuristic cities, or even portals with custom shapes.
