this month I had about three episodes of really bad left eye pain almost had to go to the ER for it and I'm diagnosed with glaucoma and cluster migraines so it sucks and also I got really stressed and hot yesterday it was 104 and neighbor's was doing fireworks and I have trauma with that so it was a pretty bad week

My glaucoma specialist for YEARS denied my pain in my blind eye. He said there was no reason my eye should be painful because my pressure was relatively normal. Makes me so mad knowing I was dismissed all those times when so many other glaucoma patients have pain in their eyes. Does anything help your eye? I find a frozen compress and sometimes gel drops can soothe it a bit. But it’s a deep ache that doesn’t go away. 💕

I don't know if you're already on Diamox but that works great for my pain. i take 500mg 3 times a day. My pain is gone within 45 mins. I read about Diamox from a poster on a FB glaucoma page. I had to beg my dr hard for the prescription. For years I had pain with no relief and this one pill I happen to read about in a random post helps me. All my Dr wants to do is operate. That's her answer to everything. I got a second and third opinion about my pain from other glaucoma specialist and their answer was to operate. There is no standard of care for this disease. You need to be your own advocate.

hi swty I was diagnosed with acute angle closure glaucoma... had 2 lasers done ... s6 meds n it still didn't help I had to go for an emergency op ... all this happened in a matter of 2 weeks ... my eye pressure was sitting at 44 on the morning of the op... i lost 60%vision in 1 eye ... but im still reeling from the aftermath ... im still on steroids .. still have intense pains so guess this is life

I can relate, one thing that sometimes helps is magnesium or magnesium citrate.

Could it be affecting your sleep quality?! Is there any pain management from doctor that’s terrible I get dry eye flares that bother me itch and pain as well I use ibuprofen with food when it flares 🤔💜

oh I understand you . im very photophobic. any glare hurts especially white sunny days. I have a lot of migraines and the eye pain is horrendous. I have had my pressure highest at 80. I had emergency surgery as my other eye is blind. I use "kool n soothe " forehead straps when I have eye pain. wishing u well x
