@sustainablefashionfriend: Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie brand Syrn claims to “celebrate women in all their forms.” But like a lot of clothing built on pseudo-feminist marketing, that empowerment message gets a little blurry when you look at who is actually making the clothes. I connected Syrn to Brandix, Sri Lanka’s largest garment manufacturer, which, once you dig past the press releases, has a long and complicated history when it comes to the treatment of garment workers — the vast majority of whom are, you guessed it, women!!!!!
