Not ocd but I just started lexapro two days ago for GAD and thank you for reducing the stigma surrounding medication. I was really scared to start taking it but I just finally want to be happy and not worry all the time

When I took sertraline I felt so sick I struggled to eat, even when that began to wear off I still couldn’t drink coffee or have anything that had a strong taste, I know u were saying about side affects being different for everyone and stuff but I was curious if the nausea affected your bed ?? Sorry if this is invasive or explained rlly badly

I’m glad u had a good experience queen but I feel like we definitely need to be talking abt negative side affects in medications so ppl know what to watch for when taking it negative side affects can be detrimental for some ppl

Girl when I started Sertraline I was up everyday at like 6am😭 Eventually it went away but i couldn’t sleep for weeks ngl

the voice in my head 24/7 omg girl I feel so seen. My boyfriend says his head is silent like at night we will put a show on to fall asleep- he says just listen to the show, i physically cannot just focus on the show maybe for 2 seconds but my brain will start running thoughts.. he will fall asleep in 2 minutes my brain and my thoughts keeps me up at night

Any time I enter a room I look for my exits.. like genuinely if I was trapped how would I get out. When I was a kid I would lay in bed at night and tell myself once I close my eyes I can’t open them again or I won’t be able to fall asleep. Little things I never realized weren’t normal I still don’t know if it’s my anxiety or OCD obviously there’s so many more but I don’t wanna make my comment long. I would do the same things you said! Record to make sure I did something, or pictures. I am so glad I’m not alone ugh my boyfriend looks at me like I’m crazy

i’m on 150mg of sertralinr and it is literally the only medication that has helped me! i found to begin feeling the positive effects at 100mg, it’s definitely one you can build up to if you need! sending love girl xxx
