I’ve been using tret and benzoyl peroxide and it took me a minute to get a routine down! Tret at night, benzoyl in the morning and did it twice a week for the first month then to every other day. Also for moisturizing, I did the Neutrogena hydro boost water gel, let that soak into my skin and top it off with the la roche posay lipikar. That was the only way to help with the dryness for me.

I feel like that darkening is from the tret…..sometimes overuse or using tret wrong can almost cause darkening in some areas of the face. I had a mustache once and dark spots on my cheeks for misusing the tret. So I stopped using it on those spots and just used the azelaic acid on my whole face and kinda spot treated my face with the tret avoiding all the spots I obtained this new darkening.

Yall need to stop rushing the process. If you are repairing your moisture barrier you really need to give it like 2+ months of just straight hydration and moisturization. Simple cleanser, hydrating toners, serums, face masks, face lotion, and sunscreen. That’s it.
