@grieving_like_a_mother: Versions of yourself after a profound loss. It’s a hard task to navigate and hard to do alone. You will never be the same again and have to re learn how to live as this new person you never wanted to be. #versionsofme #griefjourney #reality #fyp #howgriefchangesyou
I think most people understand that a profound loss will change a person forever.

I’m going to be 40 on April 10 … and exactly 10 of July is going to be 2 years since I lost my daughter like you, I stopped celebrating my birthday since I will always do it with my daughter , she was born April 9 , she was my greater gift on my birthday and now she is my greatest loss !! I’m lost and broken I live in a bubble away from people because my mind and heart can’t accept that she is not here anymore

So true. There’s no bouncing back. We are new people when we lose a child, and no one understands that unless they’ve lost a child ❤️💔

I am also on version 3.0 of me. I lost my mom in 2020 and my life partner of 23 years just 4 days ago. This life is so hard I don’t want to do this anymore I miss my partner so bad

When I was a child there was a family in our group of friends who lost their 9 year old son. The boy was a friend of mine. I still to this day (I am now 56 years old) remember holding the father’s hand at his wake and the look in his eyes. They were never the same. We never expected them to be and now I hope we treated them with grace. I am so sorry for your loss.
