The centre/centre-left and left separating is exactly what the Conservatives want. Splitting the vote makes it easier for them to win. The reality is not everyone is Left or Right, majority of the voter base is centre, it doesn’t matter how much the left calls centrists fence sitters, that still won’t push them to their cause. Change is progressive and the middle ground is where it all happens. Compromise and not “all or nothing” is what makes changes. It may be slow and incremental and infuriating at times but going backwards isn’t the answer either. Not every politician or political party is going to tick all the boxes on what you want, it’s a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils so to speak. Nuance is something that has been lost over the years with the black and white thinking of both sides.

cbc radio Ontario today call in show had a guest on with his new new website deep fake fact checing.org. yes definitely most likely foreign interference aggressively spreading mis/dis information to undermine our democracy. People need to really be careful how they interpret content. so much advanced AI now is saturating the platforms. also content creators are having hacked content being distributated. everyone needs to call out bs they see.

I voiced my concern about his initial statement and I’ve moved on. I don’t feel the need to keep harping on it. Carney is our PM and I like some things he’s doing and disagree with others. Pragmatism dictates that I have to live with whatever he says and does (very much a Gen Jones trait). Difficult times. He is still the leader we need at this point.

Carney hasn't many weak points to target. What people found were mostly contrived, irrelevant, or left out context. His comment on support of US actions was an opening every opponent jumped at. Now, we know that there are state actors, particularly Russia, who see Carney as a threat. So we may also be seeing accounts that are not who they claim, in order to sow dissent in various ways. Remember their actions prior to the 2016 US election.

I was so disappointed when the PM quickly said, on February 28, "Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security." This, in spite of the fact Trump ignored USA laws re: only congress authorized to declare war and he and netanyahu avoided nternational law when they decided to bomb Iran. I appreciate all the things our PM is doing for us and our country, but I feel this was a very rapid and inappropriate response by PM Carney to the horrific actions of the two criminals who kill people (Gaza; blowing up small boats in international waters, and having agents kill American citizens) without consequences. I realize it is a delicate matter interacting with bonkers president who lives next door but I😊 think at some point one has to give careful thought before openly, loudly siding with this lunatic. Phew! my 2 cents. btw. always enjoy your channel. 😊
