I actually have 3 pair of Halara jeans lol all of the “flex” and I’m a 12-14.. I buy size large also .. always size down in the flex because they are stretchy!!! I’m obsessed lol

Halara tip - if you're little in the middle but got much back, size down. I wear a 16 but get a LG in Halara.

Definitely size down. They have stretch in them, so after you wear them for an hour, they are falling off. I wish I had sized down 2 sizes. (I am really in-between sizes though to be fair.)
