So true! I think that when my students come in every morning.. you never know what those kids are coming in with and just expected to leave those experiences at the door and to be able to learn.

i’m glad there’s people who understand this. we aren’t trying to be bad kids, we just have bad experiences that form us into the people we are now. when we try to get help we are shrugged off as “just a child, being dramatic.”

my teacher 2 days ago sat with me in the hallway while i cried and spoke for 30 min. i never felt safer to say anything and not afraid of the outcome. i’ll never forget her telling me this “would you rather be empathetic or un empathetic?” that stuck i rather care about people than be heartless. (i was talking about how i felt around my family) but anywho biggest appreciation for teachers who take a moment and help out someone. dw i always tell this teacher how appreciated she is because from first day i met her i’ll never forget how she made us feel. she never cared how many assignments we had in but rather how we were mentally doing. yes she will try to encourage you to do your work but she rather help you mentally then care about the assignment you didn’t do that one day. we all love this teacher. one the most appreciated teachers in my building i promise you she is so loved by everyone because she simply is the best human being 🤍. i will always remember this sweet lady for the rest of my life.
