this may come across as annoying, sorry... it's not meant to be, but if you store them pointy side down it will keep the air pocket on the blunt end and extend the quality/freshness of your eggs

Storing your eggs point side down can help them stay fresh longer! It positions the air sac at the top which keeps it away from the yolk, reducing chances of spoiling. The round end of an egg is more porous, so point side down minimizes bacteria getting through the round side. This also reduces chances of breakage. Happy Chickening!
