The silence that followed the final scene in this musical is something I will never forget. I saw it in the Gutherie in Minneapolis and it was the silence that comes after where the whole audience doesn’t know to clap, cry, or even react.

I thought it was about how money made hierarchy in our societies and how a Cabaret could insert a parenthesis to all of this turned out being so much more

guyss if your gonna watch the movie be warned its quite different from the musical with the way it's portrayed I would so recommend if you can watching stage version

i found out about it from tiktok, thought “oh this looks cool and campy let’s give this a shot,” watched it on youtube on my phone that night, and then had to sit there in silence for a while once the credits rolled.
