If you're not using the sprayer, you're not making money! In this case, though I would've sprayed the ceiling and then I would've sprayed all the trim. It looks like it would've been faster to put a strip of tape on top of the trim and then just painted it however, since you already had all the floors covered, it probably wasn't a whole lot more to tape the ceiling off like that so spraying it definitely works.
