I have never heard of a vet not charging for this service. That would be so comforting. I've been at the same vet for 30+ years and have always paid.

I’m from Iowa. My dog died at my feet at home. They charged me over $200 just to drop a dead body off that I wasn’t even taking ashes home because that would’ve cost more and I’m broke. They did send me his paw pads tho. But I’ve always had to pay to put pets down but I was shocked it cost me that much just to drop an already deceased dog off. They shouldn’t charge! It’s already a horrible situation

This breaks my heart but it actually made me feel better because I watch all of your traumatic family videos and don’t know how you keep it together and NOT cry. I cry for you as I watch them.

My vet charged me almost $200 to take my Gracies body. Oh I miss her!

I had to put my dog to sleep and she took a part of me with her. My cat passed on her own and she took a part of me with her. I still break down. I had to pay to have both of them taken care of.

I just had to take my dog to the vet for that reason and it costed $500 but that included cremation. I miss my girl so much. This is in Canada.

You're the sweetest person. You have such a gentle heart. I know first hand how painful it is to lose a dear pet. So, you cry as much as you need to. It helps to let it out.

I just had to put my dog down, luckily I have a vet that comes to my home, of course she was so kind and it was so nice and calm and felt better then being in the vets office

My dog Jack passed and the vet took care of everything without payment. It is so nice to not have that to deal with along with the grief. 🤗

When my soul dog died, the emergency vet office made it worse! It was awful & I think they price gouged 🤬 But one bright spot was getting condolence cards from her regular vet AND a vet that only saw her once! I don't even know how they found out. Free for regular patients should be the norm ❤️
