Ai being released this much a prematurely shows how we're just self-sabotaging ourselves in every aspect. Can we just not endorse and encourage the use of a super highly advanced tool (that's actually bad for the environment, including food & water security) for the generic layman anymore?

There's a difference between generative AI and assistive AI. Anyone who works in tech has been using assistive AI long before generative AI was released to the public. The main problem with releasing technology for mass consumption (like the internet and camera phones) is that most people do not understand that they have a responsibility to use it wisely. Specifically with generative AI, you're not supposed to just use whatever results it comes out with, you as a human are supposed to review and edit them as needed. For me though in this particular case, it's not the AI that's at fault but the fact that the ad was released either meant they had no legal department or no one even knew it's illegal, because I'm sure it went through multiple people before it got approved. Someone said here that AI isn't for everything. Actually AI isn't for everyone.
