In a 2016 resolution to the October 2015 viral attack, former Taco Bell marketing manager Benjamin Allen Golden pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery against Uber driver Edward Caban, receiving 60 days in jail and 3 years' probation. Golden initially countersued Caban for $5 million over privacy, but the case is resolved.
