@janetnguyenmua: Do not underestimate the things you do everyday to help your child . This 15’ car ride is more important than people think. For many autistic children, transitions can be overwhelming. Home and school are two very different worlds. My husband drives. I sit next to Anthony and observe how he’s feeling before school. Sometimes calm, sometimes overwhelmed. I used to sit in the back seat with him. Now I can sit in the front. Small changes like this show how he’s building confidence and adapting.
