I own a coffee shop and 15000 does not cover rent and bills for a year. At very smallest about in out very crap Midwest town would be 2000 rent 1000 utilities etc. probly if you could get away with 5k in bills a month it would be amazing that is 60k a year. Not counting insurance taxes. So is this a good idea yea. Kinda. But the people who get rich in coffee shops are drive through. No one generally is getting rich on muffins and free internet. Generally it’s a pashion thing you do it because you love it.

I did the same thing with my tanning salon when I opened it back in 1990 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. It was called LA Tanning and I literally charged $29.95 for the first month with your first session free and I sold $30,000 worth of memberships before I opened my doors. That’s why Einstein Bros. Bagel always gives me my coffee for free. Of course I have to buy a breakfast sandwich, but that’s actually my main focus. I see the coffee as a bonus and I don’t care. I gladly give them my business, especially when a couple of long time employees address me by my name when I walk in.

I'm a volunteer firefighter. I can see exactly where that strategy could work. Everyday I go where I can get free coffee. In return I spend an extra ten dollars in that shop. Usually getting breakfast items. I go where I can save a $1.89. In return, they get an extra $10.00 out of me LOL.

Market strategy, Netflix, prime videos use to have cheaper rates, now Amazon prime charges for add free fees 🤷♂️and many shows used to be inclusive in membership, now it’s 2.99 or 3.99 even 6.99 per show 😳
